ICS 200 – Introduction to Incident Command (New Haven)

Length of course: 12 Hours
Course hours: 1830-2130 each day
Date: February 9, February 11, February 16, and February 23, 2010.
Location: New Haven Public Safety Building (Route 7 in New Haven)

Tuition:
None Homeland Security Grant Funding will be used for this program.

Course Description:

Course Description:  The ICS 200 program is designed for First line supervisors, single resource leaders, lead dispatchers, field supervisors, company officers and entry level positions (trainees) on Incident Management Teams and other emergency personnel that require a higher level of Incident Command System training.

Audience: Persons involved with emergency planning, response or recovery efforts. People who will fill supervisory or lead roles during an incident.

Course Description:

None Homeland Security Grant Funding will be used for this program.

Prerequisites: Students must have successfully completed I-200.

Program Description:  This program is designed for First Responder Supervisors and Mid-Level Managers.  It describes how the NIMS Command and Management component supports the management of expanding incidents.

Audience: Persons involved with emergency planning, response or recovery efforts. People who will fill supervisory or lead roles during an incident.


ICS 400: Advanced Incident Command System - Pittsford

Length of course: 16 Hours
Course hours:
Monday & Tuesday 0800-1630

Location: Vermont Criminal Justice Training Council

Date: April 19-20, 2010

Tuition: None. Homeland Security Grant Funding will be used for this program.  Housing is available Monday night at the Police Academy.

Prerequisites: Students must have successfully completed I-300.

Program Description:  The target audience for this course is senior personnel who are expected to perform in a management capacity in an Area Command or Multi-agency Coordination Entity. This course provides training on and resources for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). This course expands upon information covered in ICS-100 through ICS-300 courses. This course will include but not be limited to: major and/or complex incident/event management, area command, and multi-agency coordination. This course is designed to provide overall management skills rather than tactical expertise
